Legal Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Legal Counsel with 5-8 years of experience in Drafting, Vetting, and Contract Management to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have recent experience (2-3 years) working within the NBFC/BFSI sector. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and oversee various legal agreements and provide legal advice to minimize the company's risk and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, specifically those of the RBI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting and Vetting of Agreements: Prepare, review, and negotiate various agreements including Master Service Agreements, Lender & Borrower Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and Supplementary Agreements.
• Legal Risk Analysis: Identify and assess legal risks and implications associated with contracts and business operations.
• Customer Communications: Draft and vet customer communications including emails, SMS, and other forms of correspondence.
• Advertisement and Marketing Materials: Review and provide legal input on advertisement materials, schemes, contests, and promotions.
• Legal Notices: Prepare and send legal notices to customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Departmental Legal Assistance: Provide day-to-day legal advice to various internal departments, particularly concerning RBI rules and regulations, to minimize liabilities and safeguard the companys interests.
• Contract Tracking and Management: Maintain an organized tracker of all ongoing contracts, agreements, and legal matters, ensuring timely follow-ups and updates. Present the tracker on a weekly basis.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 5-8 years of legal experience, with at least 2-3 years in the NBFC/BFSI sector.
• Strong knowledge of RBI regulations and experience providing legal guidance on compliance with financial services laws.
• Proven experience in contract management, drafting, and reviewing a variety of legal documents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
