Legal Manager

Position Overview:

The Legal Associate will assist in handling various legal aspects related to real estate transactions, development projects, and property management. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of real estate law and regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure that all real estate activities are legally sound.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support for property transactions, including due diligence, contract negotiations, and drafting of agreements (e.g., sale/purchase, leases, joint ventures).
• Review and advise on real estate-related contracts, agreements, and legal documentation.
• Assist with the preparation, negotiation, and review of real estate development agreements, construction contracts, and financing documents.
• Perform legal research on real estate laws, zoning regulations, land use, environmental laws, and real estate compliance issues.
• Assist in resolving disputes related to properties, including liaising with external legal teams, landlords, tenants, and government authorities.
• Support the legal team in the preparation and submission of real estate filings, including those related to title deeds, property registration, and local authority approvals.
• Provide legal advice on corporate matters affecting the company, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring as related to real estate investments.
• Assist in managing and maintaining legal records and documents related to real estate transactions.
• Draft and review various legal documents including notices, agreements, and amendments.
• Monitor regulatory changes in real estate law and advise the company accordingly.

Qualifications:

• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of legal experience, preferably with a focus on real estate law.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of real estate laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Experience in contract drafting and negotiations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
