About the Organization -
Founded in 2001, this non for profit organization operates with the mission to work with citizens and governments to transform the quality of life in India s cities and towns - the first being quality of urban infrastructure and services, that is, roads, drains, transport, water supply and the second is the quality of citizenship that is, the role that urban citizens can play by participating in civic matters.
It believes building robust city systems is the key to robust cities. The core main pillars of work constitute civic participation (enabling active citizen participation in city governance), municipal finance (improving financial sustainability and accountability) and policy and insights (reforming city systems and strengthening state capacities).
At present, the organization works across urban planning and design, municipal consulting services, banking and financial services for the poor, affordable housing for the under-privileged and empowered legitimate political representation.
The organization has made considerable impact over the last 23 years - for example the city of Bangalore allocated INR 120 crores through MyCityMyBudget in 2020-21. In Odisha, platforms for participation catalyzed 1.6million citizens in 2900 urban poor settlements in the state.
It s also been awarded, and recognized for commendable work, for instance the IChangeMyCity received the Google Global Impact Award in 2013, the Swachhta app developed for Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs was judged as the Best Sanitation App at India Today Safaigiri Awards 2017, and many more.

About the Role -
Being a growing organization which is expanding further, there s a need for an experienced Human Resources veteran who can lead the function and design systems and practices. It s an opportunity to be in a leadership capacity, engaging with senior stakeholders across, and have a core focus on building innovative practices within the gamut of organizational development, culture, learning and performance. The current team is 3-4 members strong and will grow in the future. Key Responsibilities -
Oversee end to end HR operations including talent acquisition, onboarding, learning, performance and development, culture and engagement and employee benefits
Lead, manage and grow the HR function at the organization
Review, design, develop and strengthen the people and culture strategy, including budgets
Ensure full and timely compliance to legal requirements
Design and implement structures and processes around staff engagement, learning, well-being, diversity and inclusion
Identify and implement suitable policies, systems and processes around internal communication and culture
Engage with senior stakeholders across functions and project manage according to organizational priorities
What makes you a role fit -
12 to 15 years of experience in human resource management 5 to 6 years of experience in building, leading and managing senior teams
Core experience in building performance management process and systems around rewards and recognition
Prior experience in building and executing employee learning, development, wellbeing initiatives
Ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders in designing and implementing policies, systems
Well versed with projects encompassing organizational development
