Job Purpose :
The Lead AI Computer Vision Scientist will spearhead the development of cutting-edge computer vision applications designed for industrial environments such as power plants, refineries, and petrochemical facilities.
This role is pivotal in integrating AI-driven solutions to automate visual inspection processes, ensuring safety, efficiency, and innovation in complex industrial settings.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the research, design, and implementation of sophisticated algorithms, enhancing the company's technological capabilities, and contributing to the broader vision of AI adoption across various industries.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Application Development : Design and build advanced computer vision applications leveraging data from fixed cameras and drones for industrial use cases.
- Image Analysis : Analyze images captured from industrial sites (e.g., power plants, refineries) to detect anomalies, operational issues, or safety hazards.
- Algorithm Development : Select and implement appropriate classified image libraries and AI algorithms to develop anomaly detection solutions tailored to specific industrial needs.
- Automation : Program applications to automate the detection process, minimizing manual intervention and improving operational efficiency.
- Technology Integration : Stay proficient with various imaging formats and ensure seamless integration with existing technologies.
- Product Demonstrations : Assist in product installations and execute product demonstrations for internal and client teams.
- Algorithm Testing and Optimization : Test, refine, and enhance algorithms to improve detection sensitivity and accuracy.
- Evaluation and Recommendation : Continuously evaluate state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms and recommend the most suitable ones for different use cases.
- Drone Integration : Develop and automate applications supporting routine inspections through drone technology, enhancing operational oversight.
- Optimization : Port, implement, and optimize analytics and machine learning algorithms using specialized computing architectures.
- Technical Support : Provide secondary support and bug-fixing for deployed applications at client sites, ensuring seamless operations.
- Knowledge Sharing : Mentor and train peers and subordinates, contributing to the expansion of the company's knowledge base.
- Benchmarking and Support : Establish technical performance benchmarks, and support the Sales team during the bidding process with technical clarifications.
- Solution Architecture : Collaborate with project teams to develop solution architecture, prepare design reviews, and ensure alignment with client requirements.
- Documentation and Training : Develop comprehensive project documentation, client training materials, and assist in the overall project lifecycle management.
Required Skills :
- Expertise in developing computer vision applications using AI, with a strong focus on industrial automation.
- Proficiency with frameworks and image libraries like OpenCV, TensorFlow, and Keras.
- Advanced programming skills in Python and C++.
- Experience with industrial computer vision applications and real-time video analytics pipelines.
- Familiarity with drone-based data analytics and modeling for anomaly detection.
- Strong analytical skills to support complex engineering decisions.
- Knowledge of the latest computer vision frameworks and pre-trained models.
- High level of technical aptitude, with an ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance.
- Advanced documentation and report-writing skills.
- Technical presentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
