Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to lead sales initiatives, develop market penetration strategies, and drive business growth.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in solution sales or project sales, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build relationships within the industry.

This role will focus on managing end-to-end sales processes, understanding customer needs, and delivering tailored solutions to drive revenue and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs / Deliverables / Job Expectations):

Lead Generation & Qualification:

- Prospect and qualify leads to identify high-potential opportunities.

- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline.

Proposal Management:

- Manage deal qualification and create tailored design and commercial proposals.

- Work closely with the sales team to develop and refine prospect development strategies.

- Prepare sales presentations and deliver them to customers effectively.

CRM & Sales Tools Management:

- Manage and update CRM tools, including leads, offer pipelines, and opportunities.

- Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of sales activities.

Channel & Relationship Management:

- Manage channel records and agreements to ensure compliance and performance.

- Build and nurture relationships with key accounts to retain existing customers and grow new opportunities.

- Develop strong partnerships with industry consultants and architects.

Order & Coordination Management:

- Process orders and prepare proformas in alignment with customer requirements.

- Coordinate with internal teams, including factory and engineering, to ensure timely delivery of customer requirements.

Market & Product Research:

- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer pain points, and opportunities for growth.

- Perform product research to stay updated with the latest solutions and technologies.

Strategic Sales Planning:

- Identify solutions to customer pain points and craft unique selling propositions.

- Develop effective strategies for penetrating new market segments and customer bases.

- Benchmark competitors' products and pricing to stay competitive.

Key Account Management:

- Support key accounts to strengthen relationships and ensure long-term customer satisfaction.

- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts.

Forecasting & Execution:

- Create accurate business forecasts and execute sales plans effectively.

- Work on project-based plans for large-scale projects and ensure on-time delivery.

Critical Success Factors:

- Understanding market segments and customer needs to create impactful penetration strategies.

- Building and growing successful partner relationships to drive sales.

- Delivering effective business forecasting and achieving execution goals.

- Networking within the industry to build valuable relationships.

- Benchmarking competitors effectively for product and pricing strategies.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: MBA from a reputed institution is an added advantage.

Experience:


- 8-10 years of relevant work experience.

- At least 4 years in presales roles.

- Hands-on experience in solution sales or project sales is preferred
