Job Description
Leadership: Assume a leadership role within the litigation department, providing strategic direction and guidance to associates and support staff
Client Representation: Represent clients in various litigation matters, including civil, criminal, and administrative cases, both at trial and appellate levels
Case Management: Oversee and manage a portfolio of complex litigation cases, ensuring that client matters are handled efficiently and effectively
Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth legal research, analyze case laws, statutes, and regulations to formulate sound legal strategies for clients
Client Counseling: Advise and counsel clients on legal matters, providing clear and practical advice while maintaining a strong client relationship
Business Development: Actively contribute to the firms business development efforts by attracting and retaining clients, participating in marketing initiatives, and expanding the firms litigation practice
Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and training to junior associates, fostering their professional development and growth within the firm
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable ethical and professional standards and guidelines
Requirements:
Education: Bachelors degree in Law (LLB). A masters degree would be an added advantage
Minimum 8 years of experience practicing law, with a proven track record in litigation
Enrollment as an advocate with the Bar Council of India
Proven track record of successfully handling complex litigation cases
Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Business development acumen with a demonstrated ability to attract and retain clients
Ethical and professional conduct with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of legal practice
