Tourism to these religious places is a $10B opportunity. The Sri Mandir app is the world's largest app for Hindu devotees and growing 20-25% month-on-month.
Role Overview for VP-Finance:
- The VP-Finance will lead the financial strategy and operations to drive business growth and scalability.
- This role involves developing and executing financial plans, managing investor relations, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- The VP-Finance will provide strategic insights to the Founder, Business Heads and board, manage financial risks, and optimize resources.
- Additionally, they will build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation to support the company's long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy to support business objectives and long-term growth.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the Founder, Business Heads and board of directors based on financial analysis and forecasts & Identify and manage financial risks while optimizing resources for scalability.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling processes.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business success.
- Creating and adhering to Annual Operating Plans (AOP) with budgets to have insights on the business performance.
Fundraising & Investor Relations:
- Lead efforts to secure funding, including equity and debt financing.
- Build and maintain relationships with investors, presenting financial updates and business progress.
- Prepare and deliver investor materials, including pitch decks, financial models, and due diligence documentation.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, payroll, and cash flow management.
- Implement and improve financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and innovation within the finance department.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CA preferred).
Experience:
- Proven experience as a VP/Head Finance or senior financial executive, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Track record of successful fundraising and managing investor relations.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, corporate governance, and startup financial challenges.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis.
- Proficiency with financial software and tools (Tally, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
Soft Skills:
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
