Position Overview:
- Our client is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead the company's financial strategy, planning, and operations in a fully remote capacity.
- The VP of Finance will play a pivotal role in driving the financial health and sustainability of the organization, supporting strategic growth initiatives, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- This role requires monthly travel to the company's headquarters for collaboration and strategic planning with the executive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy to support long-term growth and profitability.
- Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, treasury, and tax compliance.
- Partner with the executive team to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Manage the preparation and presentation of financial reports, including board presentations and investor updates.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support M&A activities, including financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain strong internal controls.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Monitor financial performance and key metrics, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- MBA or CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with a strong background in FP&A, accounting, and strategic planning.
- Proven track record of success in a senior finance role within a high-growth or PE-backed environment.
- Expertise in financial modeling, reporting, and analysis, with advanced proficiency in financial systems and tools.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience building and managing high-performing finance teams.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a remote work environment while effectively collaborating with global teams.
- Experience with M&A transactions and integration preferred.
- Ability to travel monthly to the company's headquarters for strategic meetings and collaboration.
