Job Description

Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Sales Manager with a proven track record in selling Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), particularly hormones, to regulated markets. The ideal candidate will lead the business development and sales strategies, ensuring the growth and profitability of the companys API portfolio in highly regulated territories.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Sales & Business Development:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business objectives in regulated markets (e.g., US, EU, Japan).
  • Identify new business opportunities and establish strong relationships with key decision-makers at pharmaceutical companies.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Address customer queries, provide technical product information, and manage client expectations effectively.
  • Regulatory & Compliance:
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the regulatory affairs team to address market-specific compliance issues.
  • Market Analysis & Strategy:
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the API industry, particularly for hormones.
  • Provide insights on competitor activities and market demands.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Mentor and guide junior sales professionals, fostering a high-performance sales culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and supply chain.


Qualifications & Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in API sales, with at least 5 years focused on hormones and regulated markets.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and market dynamics in US, EU, and other regulated territories.
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and manage key accounts.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software ( Sales force )
