Associate Professor - School of Journalism & Mass Communication

Role & responsibilities

• To lead development and implementation of research strategy.
• To maintain a high quality record of regular and original research publications of external standing as appropriate to the field or discipline
• To supervise students undertaking research projects as appropriate.
• To guide and supervise at doctoral level
• Responsible for teaching via classroom instruction, directing projects,
• To develop innovative approaches to learning and teaching as appropriate.
• To support and guide students for their research and internships related work
• Responsible for educational innovation.
• To design time to time new curriculum and courses.
• Responsible for implementing teaching learning process with reference to new technology.
• To develop and implement innovative instructional methods
• To pursue, develop and lead research, innovation and impact at an appropriately benchmarked level.
• Assist and support senior professor / Dean in their day-to-day tasks and functions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Good Communication skills.
• Good presentation skills.
• Good knowledge on Media and general studies.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D in concerned /allied/ relevant disciplines.
• Master Degree with minimum 55 % of marks.

Experience:

A minimum of ten years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
