Job Overview:

The Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the procurement of high-quality products and services at competitive prices. This role requires strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills, with a focus on achieving cost efficiency and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse cost structures, production processes, and profitability metrics for the micro-processing units.
• Monitor mandi rate trends for key raw materials and commodities.
• Analyse market dynamics and price fluctuations to optimise sourcing strategies and minimise costs.
• Identify and develop leads for new raw material sources, including farmers, cooperatives, and suppliers.
• Build and maintain relationships with potential suppliers to ensure a reliable and diverse supply chain.
• Prepare regular reports on raw material procurement activities, including market analysis, and supplier performance.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for internal meetings and stakeholder discussions.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost optimization within the micro-processing units.
• Conduct regular monitoring visits to the micro-processing units to assess production activities, quality standards, and compliance with regulations.
• Collect data and observations to evaluate the performance and operational efficiency of the micro-processing units.
• Assist in implementing corrective actions and improvements based on monitoring findings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Agricultural, Food Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Sourcing & Procurement.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
