Senior Executive - HR (Payroll and Compliance)

Position Overview:

The Senior Executive - HR will be responsible for payroll, Industrial Relations (IR), Statutory Compliance, Employee attendance, recruitment, and managing contractual manpower to ensure smooth operations and compliance with legal and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Payroll Management:

• Process monthly payroll accurately and on time.
• Ensure adherence to tax regulations, deductions, and employee reimbursements.
• Resolve payroll-related queries and discrepancies efficiently.

2. Industrial Relations (IR):

• Maintain harmonious industrial relations and resolve disputes effectively.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and industrial regulations.
• Act as a liaison between management and workers/unions, if applicable.

3. Statutory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all labor laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, gratuity, etc.).
• Timely filing of statutory returns and records.
• Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure adherence to legal standards.

4. Attendance and Leave Management:

• Oversee the maintenance of accurate attendance records for all employees.
• Monitor and manage employee leave records and address discrepancies.
• Ensure integration of attendance data with payroll systems.

5. Contractual Manpower Management:

• Supervise and manage the performance of contract workers.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure the availability of adequate manpower.
• Verify compliance with statutory obligations related to contract labor.

6. Recruitment & Onboarding:

• Collaborate with department heads to identify hiring needs at the plant level.
• Source, screen, and onboard employees and contractual manpower.
• Conduct plant-specific induction and training programs for new hires.

7. HR Policies and Employee Engagement:

• Implement and enforce plant-level HR policies and procedures.
• Address employee grievances and support disciplinary action when required.
• Plan and execute employee engagement and welfare initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 4-8 years of experience in HR operations, preferably in a plant or manufacturing environment.
