Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve performance targets and drive overall sales growth.
  • Ensure superior customer service and maintain high customer satisfaction levels, fostering long-term relationships.
  • Conduct regular visits to the top twenty in-fold and out-of-fold customers to strengthen relationships and identify sales opportunities.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally, maintaining the brand's reputation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of spare parts, maintaining optimal Min-Max inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  • Manage the branch's budget, ensuring effective cost control and profitability while meeting sales targets.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of a skilled, motivated sales team to drive business performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvement plans for team development.
  • Ensure strict adherence to dealership policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Oversee the safety and security of the branch premises, staff, and assets, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Provide regular reports on branch performance, activities, and sales progress to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Drive the utilization of Cummins tools and processes, including the Cummins Sales Process and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), to enhance sales effectiveness and customer engagement.

Preferred candidate profile


  • Education: Diploma / Bachelor's degree (Engineering) preferred; MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: 8-12 years in sales, business development, or branch operations; proven track record in driving revenue growth.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills; proficiency in CRM tools and sales processes.
  • Industry Exposure: Automotive, Power Generation, Energy Solutions, or Engineering sectors.
  • Behavioral Traits: Results-driven, customer-focused, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Other: Willing to travel; familiar with safety and compliance standards.
