General Manager - Projects (Residential Development)
Senior Construction Leadership Position
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Projects to lead our residential development division, overseeing multiple large-scale residential construction projects from inception to completion. The role requires exceptional project management skills and deep expertise in residential construction.
Compulsory Experience in Tendering, Planning & Execution of High Rise Building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate multiple residential construction projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery within budget, timeline, and quality specifications
- Develop and implement project management methodologies, standards, and best practices across all residential developments
- Lead project planning, including resource allocation, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management strategies
- Oversee project teams, including architects, contractors, engineers, and other consultants, ensuring effective collaboration and communication
- Monitor and control project costs, timelines, and quality metrics, implementing corrective actions when necessary
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards across all projects
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in residential construction project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale residential projects
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building regulations, and industry standards
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent industry qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Experience with BIM technology and construction management platforms
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes
- Understanding of sustainable building practices and green building certifications
Leadership Competencies:
- Project Leadership: Ability to guide multiple project teams and stakeholders toward common goals
- Strategic Planning: Experience in developing and implementing project delivery strategies
- Risk Management: Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks
- Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to manage relationships with internal teams, contractors, and clients
- Problem Resolution: Excellence in resolving complex project challenges and conflicts
