Job Description

Penetration Testing: Perform regular penetration testing on networks, web applications, systems, and software to identify potential vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct comprehensive security assessments to detect vulnerabilities in systems and applications, and provide solutions to mitigate risks.
Security Audits: Evaluate current security protocols, provide detailed reports, and offer recommendations for improving the organization's security posture.
Exploit Research: Research new vulnerabilities, exploits, and malware to stay ahead of emerging cybersecurity threats. Provide insights on how these could affect the organization.
Incident Response: Investigate potential security incidents, identify the root cause, and assist in preventing future breaches or compromises.
Ethical Hacking Tools: Utilize tools and techniques for ethical hacking, such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Wireshark, Nmap, and others, to simulate cyber-attacks and identify system weaknesses.
Security Best Practices: Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance the organizations cybersecurity framework.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT, development teams, and other stakeholders to provide guidance on secure system design, coding practices, and security measures.
Report Generation & Documentation: Create clear, concise, and actionable reports that detail findings from penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and security audits.
Compliance: Ensure the organization adheres to industry-specific cybersecurity standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in penetration testing tools and techniques (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nessus, etc.).
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Perl, C/C++, JavaScript).
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and security protocols.
Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools, web application firewalls (WAFs), and network scanning tools.
Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and system hardening.
