Job Description
Character Animation: Create and develop character animations, ensuring smooth movements and lifelike expressions that align with the project's artistic vision.
Storyboarding & Conceptualization: Work with the creative team to develop storyboards, concepts, and visual styles for animations. Interpret scripts and story concepts into animations that effectively tell the intended story.
Animation Production: Produce 2D or 3D animations, motion graphics, or stop-motion sequences, ensuring that they meet the project requirements and deadlines.
Collaboration: Work closely with directors, designers, artists, and other animators to ensure the animation aligns with the project's overall vision and style.
Rendering & Compositing: Manage the rendering process for your animations and ensure that all visual elements blend together seamlessly during compositing.
Technical Proficiency: Use industry-standard animation software such as Adobe Animate, Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D, or After Effects to create high-quality animations.
Revisions & Feedback: Implement feedback from clients, producers, and directors, making necessary revisions to the animation work and ensuring it meets the final requirements.
Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and software in animation, motion design, and visual effects to improve skills and quality of work.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in 2D animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Toon Boom) and/or 3D animation software (e.g., Maya, Blender).
Experience with motion graphics software (e.g., After Effects, Cinema 4D) and video editing tools (e.g., Premiere Pro).
Understanding of animation principles, character rigging, lip-syncing, and other animation techniques.
Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and color theory in animation.
Knowledge of rendering, compositing, and visual effects (VFX) in an animation pipeline.
