Job Description

Overview:

- The Area Sales Manager (ASM) plays a critical role in driving sales performance within a specified geographical area.

- This position is vital for achieving sales targets, expanding market share, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

- The ASM is responsible for leading a team of sales representatives, strategically planning sales initiatives, and developing strong relationships with key clients.

- The ASM must understand market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to tailor sales strategies effectively.

- By fostering a culture of excellence, motivating the sales team, and leveraging data-driven insights, the Area Sales Manager ensures that the organization not only meets but exceeds its sales goals.

- Overall, this position is crucial for sustaining growth and profitability in a competitive marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for sales of the entire range of products for the assigned area.

- Responsible for Horeca and Institutional Sales.

- Ensuring coverage, distribution and visibility of all our brands as per company objectives.

- Focus on new product launch/re-launch to establish product in market & achieve / exceed defined sales targets.

- Collection of payments with orders & timely execution of follow-ups with distributors/direct account.

- Data management and reporting as per guidelines.

- Training and development of all sales officers in the assigned area.

- Managing the commercial control on distributors (receivables, claims ) and direct customers.

- Responsible for Relationship Building & Coordination with dealers, distributors & retailers etc.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and objectives.

- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.

- Ability to conduct market research and competitive analysis.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and prospects.

- Results-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.

- Demonstrated negotiation skills with a persuasive communication style.

- Knowledge of industry trends and regulatory requirements.
