The Small Business Products Blueprint organization supports this objective by developing compelling products, services and customer engagement strategies to meet small business owners funding needs. As part of this organization, the Business Line of Credit team has achieved a tremendous growth since its inception and is poised to continue in the next 3 years. The product is a key component of American Express s ongoing efforts to innovate beyond the Card.

How will you make an impact in this role

The Business Line of Credit (BLOC) Pricing Senior Manager will be responsible for owning the end-to-end strategy on portfolio pricing aimed at driving long-term profitability across the BLOC portfolio.

This role requires a blend of strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and process management expertise to deliver a best-in-class pricing experience for our customers.

Core Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end price testing strategy to measure sensitivity and efficiencies in our current price offering.
• Answer key questions/hypotheses by reading results and introducing new test parameters based on learnings to help optimize price points across the portfolio.
• Understand our competitive positioning from benchmarking data and perform deep dive analysis to understand differences and areas of opportunity.
• Implement an action plan to optimize price points to achieve the right balance of scale and margin in a moving interest rate environment.
• Drive alignment with key stakeholders around price changes and profitability implications.
• Refine pricing strategy across risk-based segments to improve engagement and increase portfolio profitability.
• Track key metrics and share out performance updates with broader stakeholders and leadership.
• Partner with operational excellence and compliance teams to ensure best-in-class processes, procedures, and ongoing monitoring of KRI s/controls.
• Manage and develop Sr. Pricing Analyst, fostering a culture in line with behaviors of the American Express Leadership model.

The ideal candidate has a proven history in Product/Risk/Finance/Analytics, knowledge of the small business segment, and a fluency in Lending economics and PL management. Success will require a collaborative leader with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment leading strategic initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong analytical skillset with ability to build lending based financial models
• Experience with data repositories (Tableau, SQL) and ad-hoc reporting
• Ability to articulate complex statistical findings in an easy-to-understand way
• Prior experience managing control governance and monitoring processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with lend products and understanding of underlying economics
• Knowledge of small business customer needs/behaviors
