Job Description
Legal Research:
- Conduct thorough legal research on various case laws, statutes, and legal precedents.
- Assist in the preparation of case briefs and legal opinions.
- Stay updated with recent developments in civil law and other relevant legal areas.
Case Preparation:
- Assist in the drafting of legal documents, including petitions, affidavits, and motions.
- Prepare case files and organize documents for court proceedings.
- Assist in the preparation of arguments and examination of witnesses.
Court Attendance:
- Attend court hearings and trials to observe proceedings and take notes.
- Assist the Senior Advocate during court sessions by organizing documents and providing necessary information.
Client Interaction:
- Assist in client meetings and gather relevant information for cases.
- Maintain client confidentiality and handle sensitive information with utmost discretion.
Administrative Support:
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining records.
- Manage schedules and coordinate appointments for the Senior Advocate.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law (LLB).
- Strong understanding of civil law and legal procedures.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Proficient in legal writing and drafting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.
