Fixed Asset Accounting Officer

Key job responsibilities

• Setup up new fixed assets in the subledger as projects are completed and purchases made, inclusive of ensuring purchases being capitalized are in accordance with company policy
• Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations related to PPE, internally developed software and other intangibles
• Execution of month-close tasks such as depreciation runs, project settlements, and transfers of assets
• Prepare monthly recurring and one-time journal entries
• Preparation of deliverables for external audits as needed
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Collaborating with global accounting teams to identify opportunities for enhanced standardization
• Work on ad hoc projects as needed

Basic qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with an emphasis on accounting and financial reporting, preferably gained within a Big Four firm and / or a multinational organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Knowledge of IFRS or other accounting frameworks in relation to PPE and Intangible assets
• Capable in managing and maintaining large Excel models
• Fluent in dealing with, analyzing and solving problems in large datasets such as system extracts
• Must be comfortable working in cross-functional teams and in a fast-paced company
• Ability to work with tight deadlines under pressure, while maintaining close attention to details

Preferred qualifications

• ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certification (we will support continuation of studies if part-qualified)
• Knowledge in SAP S/4 Hana Fiori app
