Job Description

Conduct research on cutting-edge AI/ML advancements in NLP, Generative AI, and Conversational AI, identifying promising techniques for project applications.

Design and implement state-of-the-art algorithms for tasks like: Natural language understanding (NLU), Dialogue modeling and response generation, Text summarization and generation, Search generative experiences, etc.

Experiment with emerging techniques and frameworks, pushing the boundaries of whats possible.

Be hands-on in research and development, so that new opportunities can be quickly transferred to product development teams for use in applications.

Document research methodologies, findings, and results in clear and concise technical reports.

Work closely with engineers, and product team leaders to define project requirements and translate research findings into practical applications.

Design and conduct rigorous experiments to evaluate model performance and optimize results.

Proactively share your knowledge and expertise with the team, fostering a collaborative research environment.

Actively follow the latest research developments in AI/ML, and explore opportunities for their use in Church, Christian ministry, and missions.

Continuously expand your knowledge and skillset, mastering new techniques and adapting to the ever-changing landscape of AI research.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Must have a definite call of God to this kind of ministry role, with a strong passion for God s Word and depth in the Spirit.

Must be passionate about local church ministry, discipling, equipping and empowering people for Kingdom purposes.

Must be a visionary to see opportunities where APC as a local church and ministry can grow and fulfill its God s given mandate.

Must be a strong leader, organized, responsible, team player, and committed to excellence.

PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

Proven expertise in NLP, Generative AI, or Conversational AI, demonstrated through publications, research projects, or industry applications.

Strong hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).

Excellent programming skills in Python and experience with NLP libraries (spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, etc.).

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Passion for research and a drive to push the boundaries of AI/ML.

Preference will be given to those who have been actively involved in serving at APC, Bangalore.

As APC is a local church and Christian ministry, all positions require people who are passionate about Jesus Christ, and who are called, anointed, and committed to serving Him and people to see lives touched and transformed into Christlikeness.
