Job Description
The following provides an overview of the responsibilities that we presently envision for this role. These will be continuously updated as new initiatives are explored.
Design, develop, and implement NLP algorithms and models for diverse applications, including: Natural Language Processing tasks like sentiment analysis, text classification, and information extraction. Generative AI systems for creative text generation, personalized content recommendations, and dialogue modeling. Conversational AI chatbots for engaging and informative user interactions. Small Language Models for efficient information retrieval and summarization. Search Generative Experience for enriching user queries and improving search results.
Stay current with the latest research and advancements in NLP and related fields (AI, ML, linguistics).
Conduct research and experimentation to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of new NLP approaches.
Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and other team members to design, implement, and deploy NLP solutions.
Analyze NLP model performance and iterate on training data and algorithms to optimize accuracy and effectiveness.
Effectively communicate complex NLP concepts and technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
Document code, models, and results to ensure best practices and knowledge sharing.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must have a definite call of God to this kind of ministry role, with a strong passion for God s Word and depth in the Spirit.
Must be passionate about local church ministry, discipling, equipping and empowering people for Kingdom purposes.
Masters degree or PhD in Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field with a strong emphasis on Natural Language Processing.
Expertise in at least one major NLP subfield (e.g., machine learning for NLP, text mining, statistical language modeling, dialogue systems).
Familiarity with state-of-the-art NLP architectures and tools (e.g., transformer models, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Excellent programming skills in Python and experience with NLP libraries (e.g., spaCy, NLTK).
Experience in building and deploying AI/ML systems in production environments.
Research experience in cutting-edge NLP areas like Generative AI, Explainable AI, or Multimodal NLP.
Passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of NLP technology.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Preference will be given to those who have been actively involved in serving at APC, Bangalore.
