Sr. Piping Design - Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Piping Engineer with a strong background in piping-related projects and expertise in international piping codes and standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in piping design, layout preparation, material selection, stress analysis, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

• Analyze mechanical designs and develop piping layouts, isometrics, and stress analysis as required.
• Interpret and prepare construction drawings related to piping, including isometric, hook-ups, standard & special supports, piping GAs, underground drawings, and 3D models.
• Develop mechanical drawings for detailed engineering and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Perform piping stress analysis and verify stress reports to avoid design flaws.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings after project completion.

Material Selection & Specification

• Select pipes, valves, fittings, insulation, painting, welding specifications, and testing requirements to achieve an optimized design.
• Prepare pipe material specifications, valve material specifications, BOQs, and datasheets for valves, special fittings, and strainers.

Planning & Coordination

• Plan and prepare layout designs, considering space requirements, road access, maintenance areas, equipment locations, and pipe rack requirements.
• Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, process, and civil structural teams to ensure elevation and structural compliance.
• Prepare Design Change Notes for last-minute modifications during construction.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure all designs adhere to international piping codes and standards such as ASME, BS, DIN, MSS-SP, etc.

Qualifications & Skills

✅ Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
✅ Minimum 10+ years of experience in piping-related projects
✅ Strong knowledge of ASME, BS, DIN, MSS-SP, and other piping standards
✅ Proficiency in piping design software and ability to interpret construction drawings
✅ Expertise in stress analysis and material selection
✅ Strong coordination skills with multi-disciplinary teams
