Job Description

Job Purpose

  • Act as the reward expert to advise and support Air India to harness, direct and support teams to engage in delivering missions and objectives
  • Plan & implement the total rewards strategy to ensure competitive compensation and benefits for all international employees

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Activities

  • Deliver & implement the Total Rewards strategy for the organization ensuring competitive compensation and benefit plans for the employees, and optimal utilization of the budget
  • Lead design for a market-competitive compensation and benefits plan for all international employee groups in line with statutory and legal requirements
  • Liaison with external consultants/vendors on statutory compliances for different countries

Total Rewards

  • Implement rewards and recognition plans within the international organization; support the development and rollout of programs where necessary
  • Implement best-in-class rewards strategy for crew members
  • Coordinate with vendors / consultants to facilitate and promote contract renewal and performance management of vendors
  • Direct and monitor rewards strategy in line with industry trends for campus hiring programs
  • Support in the design and implement all policies pertaining to rewards
  • Conduct periodic market / competitor benchmarking exercises to ensure pay structures and rewards remain competitive; liaise with external consultants, as and when required
  • Conduct ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practices and periodic audits to assess relevance and compliance of reward practices
  • Lead the creation of compensation offers for all roles to be able to attract and retain talent
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on all rewards related matters for the senior leadership

Team Management

  • Work with internal team and helps on execution / implementation of tasks by prioritizing functional and organizational goals accordingly

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

Educational and Experience Requirements

Minimum Education requirements

  • Masters/MBA/PGDM/PGP/PG degree/diploma in Personnel/Human Resource Management
  • Undergrad with experience in International Rewards Management

Experience Minimum Desired

  • 6+ years of experience in running COEs with focus on Total Rewards at international locations
  • 6+ years of experience in running COEs with focus on Total Rewards at international locations
  • Experience in the aviation sector is an added advantage
