Job Description

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for creating a Diverse & Inclusive organization through intervention in various HR processes including but not limited to talent acquisition, succession planning, policies, and processes
  • Develop strategies that support a diverse and inclusive work culture and assist in the creation of new company policies that benefit the diversity group

  • Key Accountabilities

Strategic Activities

  • Facilitate DE&I strategy of the organization through leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Design initiatives, tools, and matrices towards enhancing participation of diverse group of employees
  • Drive the development of Talent acquisition policies & processes including but not limited to Diversity & Inclusion policies, culture agenda, sourcing strategy, talent assessment processes, etc.
  • Create and execute organization wide inclusion plans for diverse workgroups.
  • Identify external trends and stay updated on the latest industry practices related to diversity issues to ensure conformity with Best-In-Class diversity and culture across the organization
  • Develop and implement sensitization strategies to promote awareness, understanding and implementation of diversity programs.

Culture Diversity & Inclusion

  • Design and implement programs and initiatives that promote inclusion
  • Design / Implement company policies in collaboration with the Policy teams that reinforce diversity in the workplace to facilitate a culturally diverse and inclusive organization
  • Ensure the use of non-discriminatory language on the company website, social media platforms, and policies etc.
  • Analyze needs & create training programs in coordination with the Learning and Development teams for team members for diversity management at the organization
  • Ensure setup of inclusive workplace in terms of amenities and facilities for diverse groups
  • Attend various job fairs and represent the organization at various events
  • Address all kinds of harassment situations and protect minority groups
  • Work with recruitment and marketing teams to position the organization as an employer of choice for diverse talent by removing biases and creating equitable hiring practices. Analyze and review candidate selection methods to improve diversity in the organization
  • Partner with other HR COEs, HRBPs and business leaders to ensure the integration of DE&I principles across all HR processes and business operations, fostering a unified approach to inclusion throughout the organization.
  • Facilitate a positive and healthy working environment through various diversity and inclusion training programs
  • Work with internal communications and marketing teams to develop a clear communication strategy to share the organization's DE&I efforts and results internally and externally, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with DE&I policies and reporting requirements.
  • Use data-driven insights to track diversity performance metrics, track progress of DE&I programs, conduct regular evaluations, and refine strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.

Team Management

  • Hold team accountable for defined performance measures (KPIS/SLAs committed to functions) facilitating internal departmental efficiency and effectiveness
  • Create an atmosphere that promotes moral, ethical, and legal business conduct
  • Develop team members and create a motivated high performing team

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education requirements

  • Masters/MBA/PGDM/PGP/PG degree/diploma in Personnel/Human Resource Management / Psychology / Gender studies / Sociology

Experience Minimum Desired

  • 8-10 years of experience in HR, managing initiatives and programs pertaining to Diversity & Inclusion
  • 8+ years of experience in HR, managing initiatives and programs pertaining to Diversity & Inclusion
  • Experience in the aviation sector is an added advantage
  • Certifications in DE&I
