Job Description

Position Overview:

The International Project Manager - Supply Chain will oversee and coordinate supply chain operations across international markets. The role involves managing end-to-end supply chain projects, ensuring timely deliveries, optimizing costs, and maintaining compliance with international trade regulations. This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills, combined with in-depth knowledge of supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Lead international supply chain projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for global supply chain initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Logistics and Operations:

  • Oversee global logistics, including inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless international trade operations.
  • Manage inventory flow and warehouse activities for international operations.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with international suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize cost and quality.
  • Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with international trade laws, import/export regulations, and company policies.
  • Keep up to date with global trade regulations and standards.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for international supply chain projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, finance, and sales, to align supply chain activities with business goals.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across multiple time zones.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Address issues related to delays, quality, and cost overruns proactively.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare regular project and performance reports for senior management.
Key Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of international supply chain processes and trade regulations.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle SCM).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in an international role.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale supply chain projects.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs, and compliance.
Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and supply chain analytics tools.
