Education : BE/Btech, BCA, BSc IT ( without any Gap in 10th, 12th, and Graduation)

Job Summary :

The Windows Server Administrator is responsible for maintaining and managing Windows-based servers, ensuring system availability, security, and performance. The role involves handling IIS Server management, patch deployment, server hardening, failover clusters, and virtualization technologies like Hyper-V and VMware.

Key Responsibilities :

Windows Server Administration :

- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server OS (2016, 2019, 2022).

- Perform OS reinstallation, updates, and troubleshooting for system stability.

- Implement server hardening best practices to enhance security.

- Manage and monitor Windows Failover Clusters and troubleshoot cluster-related issues.

Patch Management & Security :

- Deploy and manage Windows patches & security updates using SCCM, WSUS, or other tools.

- Ensure compliance with industry security standards and organization policies.

- Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation.

IIS Server Administration :

- Install, configure, and manage IIS (Internet Information Services) for web hosting.

- Troubleshoot IIS-related performance, application, and security issues.

- Configure SSL certificates and manage website/application pools.

Hyper-V & VMware :

- Deploy, configure, and manage Hyper-V and VMware environments.

- Troubleshoot VM performance, migration, and storage-related issues

- Perform failover and disaster recovery planning for virtual environments.

Windows Clustering & High Availability :

- Configure and manage Windows Failover Clustering for high availability.

- Troubleshoot cluster node failures and failover issues.

- Implement load balancing and disaster recovery solutions.

Backup & Disaster Recovery :

- Manage server backups & restoration using tools like Veeam, Commvault, or Windows Backup.

- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans.

Other Responsibilities :

- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

- Work on escalated technical issues and provide L2/L3 support.

- Collaborate with security and compliance teams for audits and policy implementation.

Required Technical Skills :

- Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022) : Installation, troubleshooting, and security. IIS Server Administration

- Configuration, SSL, performance tuning.

- Patch Management : WSUS, SCCM, manual patching. Failover Clustering

- High availability, load balancing, failover testing.

- Server Hardening - GPO, security policies, vulnerability remediation. Hyper-V & VMware
