Role Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Windows Server Administrator L2 to join our growing team.

This role will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of our Windows Server infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Windows Server systems, networking, and security best practices.

This position offers a hybrid work model and is based in Chennai, India.

Responsibilities :

- Server Administration : Install, configure, and maintain Windows Servers, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file servers, print servers, and other related services. Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies.

- System Administration : Monitor server performance, identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, and ensure system stability and availability. Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery testing.

- Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve server-related issues, including hardware failures, software conflicts, and network connectivity problems. Provide technical support to end-users and other IT staff.

- Patch Management : Plan and implement patch deployments to ensure servers are up-to-date with the latest security patches and updates. Minimize downtime during patch deployments.

- Security : Implement and maintain security measures to protect server infrastructure from unauthorized access and cyber threats. Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.

- Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

- Collaboration : Work closely with other IT teams, including network engineers, security engineers, and application developers, to ensure seamless integration of server systems.

- Monitoring : Proactively monitor server health and performance using monitoring tools. Set up alerts and notifications for critical events.

- Automation : Identify opportunities for automation and implement scripting solutions to streamline server administration tasks.

- Capacity Planning : Participate in capacity planning activities to ensure server infrastructure can meet future demands.

- Vendor Management : Work with vendors to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.

Qualifications :

- 4+ years of experience as a Windows Server Administrator L2.

- Extensive knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (e.g, Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022).

- Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other core Windows Server services.

- Experience with server virtualization technologies (e.g, VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.

- Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network security concepts.

- Experience with scripting languages (e.g, PowerShell) is preferred.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Relevant certifications (e.g, MCSA, MCSE) are highly desirable
