Summary
The Data (TDM) & Environment Management (TEM) Lead will provide governance/coordination for all test data & environment related activities, like test data & environment defect resolution coordination, test environment pause & play (scaling up/down environment based on requirement) .This role requires a blend of technical expertise with respect to TDM tools and strong understanding of database fundamentals. The TDM & TEM Lead should also be able to validate and make minor updates to the automation scripts for environment health-checks & data scripts.
Required Skills
- Expertise in TEM Tools like Plutora, Enov8, etc.
- Expertise in ITSM processes (Incident/Change)
- Good understanding of Release Management
- Hands on experience on at least one ITSM tool (JIRA/SNoW/Remedy/etc)
- Knowledge of various testing phases, including Functional, Regression, and E2E testing.
- Previous experience in conducting TDM tools assessments.
- Good to have Selenium/ Java scripting knowledge.
- Good Hands on experience in SQL & db
Responsibility
- Collate information and create visualization of the test environment landscape via environment heatmap.
- Help creation of Power BI Dashboards for enterprise-wide visibility of existing test environment swim-lane availability and status (utilization and configuration wise)
- Provide test environment uplift opportunity plan as applicable in consultation with TEM Senior Manager (AAP).
- Help in setup and automation of test environment health-check scripts by coordination with various QA stakeholders.
- Monitor the test environment health-check scripts & Notify testing stakeholders of issues/downtime in environment
- Follow up with resolver groups for faster resolution of issue identified during Health-Check.
- Environment Pause & Play help optimize large size test environments (e.g., PT environments) by scaling down key large DBs/Envs for duration of no use (e.g., weekends)
- Have excellent understanding of incident and change management workflow as applicable to test environments.
- Test environment contention management expertise.
- Analyze testing data requirements and document the as-is process.
- Leverage the ADVS tool for data mining requirements.
- Evaluate and implement additional ways to automate test data creation.
- Provision data for QA testing, including Functional, Regression, and End-to-End (E2E) testing.
- Collaborate with functional teams and DBAs to facilitate database refreshes.
- Conduct root cause analysis for data defects in non-production environments.
- Create & maintain sql templates to fetch the data from multiple dbs.
- Work with teams to identify and fulfill test data requirements.
- Document transition artifacts based on current as-is processes, data models, and application landscapes.
- Conduct assessments of TDM tools to ensure they meet organizational needs.
- Support testing teams in utilizing self-service TDM features.
