Job Description

To initiate and perform laboratory application development activities in the area of refractories and provide application supports to Sales / Marketing group, as well as end users / customers for promoting our products in different refractory applications.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

Supporting Actions

Application Research:

Understand the current needs of the customers and their technological changes. Perceive the future needs.
Conduct application research on use of Hindalco alumina in refractory applications
Provide technical support to Sales & Marketing personnel / customers.

Literature scan,
Interaction with customers/ external agencies / Marketing team,
Laboratory studies and experimentation,
Plant trials at customer s end.
Providing suitable input to New Product Development team
Taking the newly developed product to customer end for successful trial and acceptance

Knowledge Management: Provide technical training to Sales & Marketing and plant personnel to enable knowledge-based interaction with the customers on the use of specialty alumina in refractory applications.

1. Training course design, 2. Providing Training. 3. Technical review, 4. Paper presentation, 5. Patent application

Customer Service: Interact / visit with domestic and export customers gather knowledge on their application process. Also provide application supports to improve business profitability.

1. Visit to customer 2. Attending technical conference / seminars, 3. Generation of application data, 4. Promote knowledge based marketing.

Exploratory Research: Identify future needs of the customer / applications, Initiate long-term research in identified areas of refractory application to keep the company future ready.

1. Brainstorming, 2. Literature scan, 3. Interaction with CSIR labs, IITs, IISc and other research institutes, 4. Conduct application studies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor Of Technology,Doctor Of Philosophy (Phd)

Minimum Experience Level:
5-10 Years
