Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on thermal power plants, including coal handling systems, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot issues with mechanical equipment and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with other teams to identify areas for improvement in plant operations and develop strategies for implementation.
• Conduct regular inspections of plant facilities to identify potential hazards and recommend safety improvements.

Job Requirements :

• 2-6 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of CHP (Coal Handling Plant) operations and thermal power plant mechanics.
• Ability to work at heights, confined spaces, or in enclosed environments as required by the job duties.
• Conduct tool box talk during shift starting and discuss job-specific safety hazards and mitigations.
• • Ensure production and dispatch of coal as per shift plan by CHP from Truck Loading Station.
  • Responsible for all electrical & mechanical breakdown rectification activities of CHP, utility, and other infrastructure.
  • Complete preventive/predictive maintenance activities scheduled in the shift for CHP/Pump House/Tarpaulin Structure.
  • Ensure adherence to safety norms during maintenance activities.
  • Plan & procure spare parts, consumables as per the budgeted timelines and cost.
  • Implement advanced technologies for improving efficiency of CHP.
  • Maintain daily/weekly/monthly records of CHP operation and loaded trucks.
  • Responsible for monitoring DPR/MPR of CHP.
  • Provide operation and maintenance plan of CHP.
  • Responsible for people safety management as per Group Safety Standard.
  • Responsible for budget preparation of CHP/other infrastructure packages.
