Deputy Manager - Operations & Maintenance

Purpose/Objective

Coordinator-Solar is responsible for overseeing and coordinating solar energy plants across a defined region, ensuring plant performance, ensure preventive maintenance, RCA, CAPA. This role involves expertise in Solar asset management, data analytics, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing plant performance, and maintaining strong stakeholder communication. Strong data-driven insights to assure budgeted performance and timely escalation of exceptions.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Site Management and Coordination: Oversee the execution of solar energy, ensuring alignment with timelines, quality standards, and operational efficiency. Monitor performance at various plants, resource allocation, and adapt plans as needed to ensure optimum performance of plant. Ensure effective HOTO, resolving any technical or operational challenges. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant solar plant regulations, including environmental laws, grid codes, safety standards, and land use policies. Conduct regular site audits, prepare compliance documentation, and address any non-conformities promptly. Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary compliance measures across all sites. Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: Serve as the primary liaison between site teams and internal/external stakeholders, including senior management, investors, and regulatory bodies. Provide regular, transparent updates on O&M activities’ progress, challenges. Prepare and present detailed progress and performance reports, host stakeholder meetings, and manage expectations proactively. Cost Management and Financial Oversight: Support team to prepare budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets. Monitor site expenditures, identify areas for cost optimization, and implement strategies to control expenses. Analyze financial performance against forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Support local procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials and services. Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Identify and assess risks associated with solar energy projects, including technical, financial, and regulatory challenges. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on project timelines or performance. Maintain and update a risk register, conduct risk assessment workshops, and ensure contingency plans are in place.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic engineering or renewable; advanced degree preferred. - 10+ years of experience in renewable energy plant O&M, performance analysis or related roles, with a proven track record. - Strong technology & digitization knowledge, analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis with basic knowledge in Statistics, Quantitative Analytics. - In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies and market dynamics. - Competence in using software and statistical tools such as MS Excel, power BI. Proven ability to assess RE sector operations to derive innovative alternatives and approaches for problem solving.
