Job Description
- Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Masters degree or MBA in a relevant discipline (preferred)
- 13-18 years of experience in logistics, preferably in the Copper industry
- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex logistics operations
- Proven experience in optimizing supply chain processes and enhancing operational efficiency
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the companys logistical operations in line with business objectives
- Lead and manage the logistics team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive performance and achieve departmental goals
- Ensure efficient coordination and communication with internal departments, suppliers, and stakeholders to meet operational requirements
- Oversee the transportation, distribution, and warehousing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products
- Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance overall efficiency
- Monitor compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all logistics operations
- Identify and evaluate potential logistics partners and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and service levels
- Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to continually improve logistics processes
