Electrical Design Manager

Purpose/Objective

As an Electrical Design Engineer for Hospitality Projects will Candidate play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the electrical design aspects of projects within the hospitality industry. Candidate will be responsible for leading a team of electrical designers, coordinating with other disciplines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and delivering high-quality electrical designs for hospitality facilities.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Purpose / Objective: As an Electrical Design Engineer for Hotel / Hospitality Projects will Candidate play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the electrical design aspects of projects within the Hotel / hospitality industry. Candidate will be responsible for leading a team of electrical designers, coordinating with other disciplines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and delivering high-quality electrical designs for hospitality facilities. Project Leadership: The electrical design process for hospitality projects from conception to completion. Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand requirements and goals, ensuring alignment with electrical design objectives. Electrical Design Development: Develop and review electrical design concepts, plans, specifications, and calculations for hospitality projects. Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations. Optimize electrical systems for energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, interior designers, and contractors, to integrate electrical designs seamlessly within the overall project. Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integration of electrical systems with structural, mechanical, and architectural components. Technical Expertise: Designing: - Steering the complete functionality i. e. , explaining Design Brief to Consultant, leading finalization of MEP Consultant, formulating. - DBR and calculating to complete concept stage of project; providing expertise to MEP Consultant to have BEST Design output/Engineering solution and examining the Consultant. - Deliverables wrt Feasibility, Cost, Practicality, and time for Construction. Spearheading entire gamut of operations related to reporting i. e. - prepare various reports like: - Feasibility reports for project depending on their specific needs and requirements. - Electrical, ELV, DG schematic and layouts - BOQ’s for the project and ensuring smooth operations and monitoring of project. - Project documents related to authority submissions like MOEF / CFO / electricity supply companies and so on Organizing, planning, and leading detailed load analysis & equipment sizing, transformer, DG selection, KVAr calculation. Showcasing tenacity in performing a wide variety of operations like: - Directing detail engineering with various calculations like Voltage Drop, Cable sizing, Cable Tray Sizing, Shaft Sizing, Short Circuit current and Bus Duct sizing - External/Infra Area Layout & Substation Layout, Cable Tray, Trench, Raceway & Earth Pit Layout, ELV Schematic and Layouts, MATV, - CCTV, Access Control System, Fire Alarm and Voice Evacuation, FTTH for Telephone and Data and Building Automation System Contract Management and Value Engineering: - - Working in coordination with contractors, subcontractors & consultants to get things done within scheduled duration, monitoring the - scrutiny of tender documents and evaluating tender documents, drawings, and schedules. - Directing review of tender in teams of cost and budgeting, finalization of tender Documents after Value engineering along with Bid - Evaluation, Techno-Commercial Comparison of estimates from Contractor - Organizing and leading Techno-Commercial Meeting with Various Contractor - Ensuring finalization of Best Contractor and handing over to Site Execution Team Construction: - Leading the implementation of stringent systems, detailed design & quality strategies to ensure high quality standards during all the stages of project. - Managing day-to-day operational aspects of projects and project scope by effectively applying methodologies that enforce project. - standards and by minimizing exposure and risks on projects. - Supervising operations involving resource & materials planning, in-process inspection, team building and coordinating with the internal departments. - Directing meetings with Contractor and site execution team - Examining Construction Drawing / Technical Submittals from Contractor trough out the Execution - Ensuring frequent audits at site for Quality & Safety - Evaluating RFI, Change Documents, RA Bills and Support to Billing Team for vendor Payments - Resolving day-to-day Site issues and handling Critical Matter, Technical difficulties at site Post Construction : - Supervising final testing, commissioning at site, and demonstrating necessary engineering services to BMC/CFO officers. - Developing and collecting all necessary documents related to MEP services for acquiring CFO NOC and Occupation certificates.

Qualifications Mandatory : BE Electrical Engineering Experience : Minimum 10 to 15 years
