Job Description
- 13-17 years of experience in the Copper Business industry
- Proven track record of successful smelting operations management
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
- Bachelors degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) or relevant field (preferred)
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the smelter, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production targets
- Manage and optimize the use of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
- Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance smelting processes, reduce waste, and increase overall productivity
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, such as the production team, maintenance team, and senior management
- Collaborate with the environmental health and safety team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and drive a culture of safety within the smelting operations
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching and mentorship, and identify training needs for the smelting team
- Utilize data and analytics to monitor key performance indicators, troubleshoot issues, and make data-driven decisions to improve smelter performance
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in smelting operations, and incorporate relevant innovations into the smelter
