Job Description
- 8-14 years of experience in the Copper Business industry
- Prior experience in smelting operations management
- Demonstrated track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiency
- Bachelors degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Masters degree or MBA in Operations Management or Business Administration (preferred)
- Lead and manage smelting operations to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize production processes
- Monitor and analyze production data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of smelting equipment and facilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to the smelting team, fostering a culture of accountability and performance excellence
- Participate in budgeting and cost control activities, optimizing resource utilization and driving cost-saving initiatives
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety guidelines
- Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable practices within the smelting operations
- Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to drive innovation and operational excellence
