Transmission Line Maintenance Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure Safety at Site.
• Responsible for Overall site activity & coordination with all stakeholders.
• Should be capable to deal with stakeholders for statutory compliances like, MERC, Forest, Suburban Development authorities etc.
• Should be capable enough to find out all associated risks in transmission line asset in pre stages and take appropriate actions to mitigate.
• Conducting safety and quality programmer at site level for development of their team at regular intervals.
• To review and apply the plan for maintenance given for the respective site.
• To ensure transmission O&M as per standards and procedures. •
• To adhere PM schedule and timely completion of task.
• Identification of requirement of materials/ spares/ T&P for sites.
• To analyze missing/theft Tower Members and plan for rectification •
• To ensure that the availability of the system is as per given guidelines.•
• To take decisions regarding O&M in consultation with seniors.
• Processing of bills related to vendor/contractor timely and accurately. •
• Updating in LAM SAP activity.•
• Preparing annual Outage plan. •
• Preparing NFA, PR, Site related Business case.
• Preparing opportunity shut down plan.
• To tackle any kind of emergency breakdown (insulator/jumper/conductor failure etc.)
• RCA/CAPA of line tripping/ faults/ breakdown,
• Thermography, TFR measurement, Scanning of Corona
• Preparing task list and material requirement for maintenance of line
• Execute various modification/ line diversion work on depository basis.
• Planning for budget preparation/utilization
• Training needs identification of employees under him.
• Identification of risk and mitigation related to Asset.
• Statutory compliances

Must Have Experience:

• ROW solving, Farmers, landowners
• Interaction with Government Authorities.
• Should have knowledge of Power System & Electricity Rules
