Customer Needs Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth assessments of pharmaceutical / Life Sciences manufacturing operations to understand specific automation needs, including process optimisation, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.
Solution Design:
- Develop customized automation solutions using a deep understanding of pharmaceutical / Life Sciences processes, selecting appropriate hardware and software components from the company's portfolio to address customer challenges.
Technical Presentations:
- Deliver technical presentations to potential clients, explaining the benefits of automation solutions and how they can improve production efficiency and quality in a regulated environment.
Sales Cycle Management:
- Manage the entire sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
Relationship Building:
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders within pharmaceutical companies, including engineers, production managers, quality assurance teams, and senior management.
Compliance Expertise:
- Stay updated on relevant regulatory requirements (FDA, GMP, etc.) to ensure proposed automation solutions meet industry standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of industrial automation technologies like PLCs, SCADA systems, HMIs, servo drives, robotics, and communication protocols relevant to pharmaceutical/ Life Sciences manufacturing and related Machine or process equipment builders.
Pharmaceutical Industry Expertise:
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical / Life Sciences manufacturing processes, Bioprocess, API, Biomedical, formulation, filling, packaging, and quality control procedures.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Awareness of FDA regulations and GMP guidelines related to automation systems in the pharmaceutical/ Life Sciences industry. Knowledge of FDA compliance, such as 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP5, etc.
Sales Acumen:
- Proven track record of success in complex technical sales cycles, including identifying customer needs, developing compelling proposals, and closing deals
Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Project Management:
- Ability to manage the implementation of automation projects, including coordinating with engineering teams and ensuring timely delivery
