Role Description:
The Team lead of the SSC is the central contact and interface between the SSC in India and the accounting and controlling department at the headquarter. Over the next years the SSC is going to be significantly expanded and in the course of this expansion new opportunities to actively develop and optimize the SSC will arise. The head of SSC maintains best in class processes and systems, and ensures the SSC supports the organization's strategy for the Finance function. The role will report to the CFO India.
Your responsibilities:
- Technical and disciplinary management of the accounting SSC India
- Develop and foster a best-in-class service oriented culture
- Organization and supervision of the in-house allocation of tasks and responsibilities to the employees
- Responsibility for financial performance and efficiency targets
- Prepare the annual Finance SSC business plan and build budget for approvals
- Supervision of the compliance of relevant fiscal and legal requirements
- Management of the European cross-border accounting processes
- Standardization, harmonization and automation of accounting processes via enabling IT
- Further development and optimization of the SSC-organization
- Harmonize, optimize and implement standard, globally consistent processes and facilitate the integration of new activities into the SSC
- Coordination and execution of projects
Our requirements:
- Graduate or Post Graduate in commerce/ Economics/Engineering.
- Leadership position held in SSC-type environment
- More than 10 years of relevant experience in a similar leadership role.
- Significant experience in a senior accounting role and solid experience in accounting working in a global organization is essential
- Established experience in process and project management as well as personnel management
- Very good MS-Office skills
- Very good knowledge of SAP-FI, CO and MM
- Fluent in spoken and written German and English; additional European languages are a plus
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent understanding of the critical success factors for the SSC as a reliable, effective,
and efficient business service provider
- Ability to manage diverse stakeholders with divergent agendas.
- Strategic thinking and delivery with a customer focus
