Job Purpose
As a key member of the DTS team, you will be leading client facing AI & ML engagements in addition to proof-of-concept initiatives (POCs) for prospective
clients. Your core responsibility will be to steer projects towards generating impactful data-driven predictions and insights. You will work with the clients
closely to understand the business requirements, translate them into technical tasks and develop robust data science solutions while ensuring high-quality
deliverables and client satisfaction. As a leader, you will be supervising teams of junior data scientists and engineers within the practice through technical
and managerial responsibilities.
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential skills
• 8+ years of relevant experience in data science and analytics preferably in banking and financial services
• Strong theoretical and hands-on knowledge with ML modeling (regression, classification, ensemble), DL models (CNN, LSTM etc.), NLP
applications, GenAI/LLM model design and implementation (OpenAI, Llama, Claude, Gemini etc.)
• Experience in leading and managing data science teams
• Strong hands-on experience in developing, testing and deploying end-to-end data science solutions on cloud (either AWS or Azure)
• Strong Python programming skills with a focus on data analysis and modelling.
• Experience with financial datasets and strong mathematical background. • Exposure to financial metrics datasets and asset classes.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with a business and financial aptitude. Education:
• Bachelors or masters in science or engineering disciplines (Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics, etc.)
Key Responsibilities
• Lead a range of data science projects, including model development, features engineering, and data analytics in the Financial Services industry.
• Lead technical solutioning (including contribution in a hands-on capacity) for in-depth analysis, predictive modelling, and insight generation
using ML, AI, DL, and GenAI based models (including LLMs).
• Oversee the entire model development lifecycle and oversee error-free and on-time implementation of data science projects including
problem understanding, data collection, model building, validation, deployment and monitoring
• Provide delivery governance and manage client-facing teams of junior data scientists and data engineers with scoping, detailed project plans,
timelines, and effective client communication to ensure client satisfaction.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team, ensuring best practices in data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML model development.
• Serve as the primary contact for client communications, ensuring clear and effective information exchange.
• Incorporate feedback from clients and continuously improve models, dashboards, and processes.
• Maintain project documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and project progress reports
Key Metrics
• Strong hands-on experience in building and deploying ML, DL and GenAI models
• Strong Python programming skills
• Hands-on experience on end-to-end data science solutioning in either Azure or AWS
