Project Role Description :Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements.

Summary:As a PeopleSoft Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements. Your typical day will involve working with PeopleSoft, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth functioning of the system.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Manages all PeopleSoft and Database production and non-production environments. This includes installations, patches and upgrades, data refreshes, performance tuning, system maintenance and monitoring and troubleshooting of web and application servers and associated process schedulers and developing and advancing best practices and tools.

Installation, administration, security and maintenance of the infrastructure supporting the PeopleSoft applications, including web servers, database servers, application servers, process scheduler, report servers, and file servers in Windows and Unix (oracle, AIX, Linux)

Researches issues with application middleware, database, etc. and recommends/applies solutions such as configuration changes to O/S, WebLogic, PeopleSoft, Tuxedo or additional hardware, memory, CPUs etc

Add and update document standards for PeopleSoft architecture and configuration as well as day-to-day operational procedures and protocols

Periodic testing of fail over of server, database, etc

Identifies, downloads, track and apply People Tools, PeopleSoft application, and Database upgrades and patches

Secures PeopleSoft system by aligning with existing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; supporting and testing the disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.

Proactively researches available and future releases of People Tools and recommends improvements/use of appropriate solutions/tools/security to application group.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Serve on existing client SLA for on-call capacity, working evenings and/or weekends as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.Professional & Technical Skills:

minimum of Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related stream.

have at least 5 years of system administration experience in production PeopleSoft environment and Database.

Strong knowledge of the installation, security, administration, monitoring and tuning of PeopleTools, 8.4x, 8.5x and PeopleSoft 8.x and 9.x infrastructure.

Strong knowledge of update/change assistant and hands on experience applying PeopleSoft maintenance and application/Tools upgrades and PUM

Skills and experience in debugging/troubleshooting techniques for technical issues related to infrastructure components including application and web server, process scheduler, integration broker and database servers.

Ability to independently manage multiple tasks effectively, learn quickly and thrive in a constantly changing systems environment

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Proficiency in oral and written communication

have good understanding of SDLC practices, working in Agile methodology Additional Information:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions.
