Summary:As an Application Developer, you will design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. You will collaborate with teams, make team decisions, and engage with multiple teams to contribute to key decisions. Additionally, you will provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and technical expertise in designing and developing applications. Tableau Developer ResponsibilitiesRecognize business requirements and devise a solution to meet data requirementsCollaborate with IT teams and business experts to implement data-driven policies and initiatives throughout the enterpriseCreate, create, and update Tableau dashboards and analyticsGather, clean, and prepare data for analytics and visualizationManage and use the Tableau platform to gain valuable insightsCreate reports using a variety of graphical and data modelling techniquesCreate new KPIs and monitor them consistently in datasetsGathering and normalizing data from multiple data sourcesCreate, test, and publish dashboards and reports, as well as schedule refreshesDefine access controls and put security measures in place as neededAccurately drill deep into data and generate reportsDesigning wireframes and beta dashboards with an emphasis on user experience, consistency, and visibilityEnhance the whole process of data management, collecting, dashboard design, and product life-cycle managementUse algorithms and statistical approaches to extract information from dataTroubleshooting any data or performance issues with workbooks and data sourcesKeep an eye on reports and dashboards and make any required modificationsOversee Tableau-powered installations, architecture, and managementActively control Tableau's performance and usability to get the desired outcomeTableau Developer Requirements & SkillsDemonstrated expertise in developing and operating Tableau-driven dashboards and analyticsThe ability to query and show massive data sets while optimizing workbook performanceThe ability to decipher technical or dashboard structure and translate complicated business needs into technical specificationsFamiliarity with Tableau administrator/architectureExpertise in Tableau development is necessaryExcel proficiency at a high level (macros, pivot tables, etc.)Knowledge of complex mathematical and statistical functionsA firm grasp of SQL, relational database management systems, data modelling, and standardizationExcellent communication abilitiesPrecision and attention to detail
