Job Responsibilities:

A server field engineer, also known as a server engineer, is responsible for maintaining and establishing an organization's server and desktop infrastructure. Their duties include:
Troubleshooting: Identifying and fixing issues with servers and PCs
Maintaining servers: Ensuring servers are running on the latest security patches and are properly configured
Monitoring: Monitoring system performance to prevent outages and delays
Researching: Researching new hardware and software technologies
Management of server migration when required by the client.
Supporting technologies, such as Active Directory, DFS, System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), and file server migrations.
Engineers should be familiar with Cloud Solutions, virtualization software, such as VMware and Hyper-V etc.
Engineer may require specific certifications or licenses, such as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification for managing Microsoft servers.
