Fund Accounting- Finance Role - Private Funds - CA Qualified Mandatory
- CA mandatory candidate who has worked in fund accounting.

Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the full-cycle finance operations of the BBU group of entities.
- This is a highly visible role that interacts with many other departments, including private funds, treasury, investments team, tax, and finance teams in other parts of the world:
- Maintain accurate books and records for all transactions involving the Canadian asset manager; work closely with the treasury team to obtain and document proper understanding for each transaction.
- Perform and review regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Assist with quarterly reporting and the consolidated results of the asset management operations.
- Support the publicly traded company's (BBU) consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Assist in preparation of various analyses and reports for senior management to support their business decision making.
- Prepare timely and accurate reports for the private funds team that will form an integral part of fund reporting to private institutional investors.
- Calculate and compile private fund management fees.
- Maintain organized and well-documented policies and procedure documents.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in bookkeeping and financial reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Must Have:
- At least 8 years of experience working in a corporate accounting or audit firm, preferably in financial services or asset management.
- The ability to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to manage changing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
- Very strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development.
- Complex legal structures.

- Experience in the following would be advantageous.
