Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Consultant Management

  • Review and understand the project needs based on the concept drawings/ project framework/design intent shared by the management
  • Evaluate and shortlist the 9 core consultants (architecture / design and services consultants) based on the project needs.
  • Discuss and deliberate with the management and the Project Manager/ Head Site Execution to finalize Consultants

Review and Release of Designs

  • Collaborate with the consultants and the in-house teams to follow up on the design deliverables and ensure the overall project timelines are maintained
  • Oversee concept design development to ensure that the design intent detailed by the management and the services HODs are adhered to and ensure incorporation of compatible detailing in all disciplines
  • Facilitate design approval and modification, negotiate approval and change instructions with project consultants to ensure design deliverables for immediate implementation on site.
  • Conduct special purpose reviews of structural, MEP and other discipline drawings
  • Resolve dependencies in workflow by coordinating and communicating between the project manager/construction manager, in house services teams and the various consultants and enable necessary decisions
  • Align the good for construction drawing deliverables to the master schedule/ construction schedule and site activity in consultation with all the stakeholders.
  • Finalize as built drawings and shop drawings in coordination with consultants and the design review team
  • Coordinate with the in-house teams and the consultants for approvals/inputs/comments on the designs at various stages and ensure the same is incorporated
  • Supervise and monitor on site progress to ensure project implementation is in compliance with the design intent and escalate construction deviations observed

Coordination

  • Lead weekly meetings or regular intervals based on project need for project review /design review / design coordination related issues/ technical clarifications required by consultants between the in-house site and services teams and the consultants
  • Preparing the detail minutes of the meetings (MoM) and circulate the same to all the attendees and coordinate and follow up with management / in-house teams / consultants for the closure of all the agenda points
  • Coordinate with the sales team / leasing team for site visits with prospective tenants / clients to understand their requirements/concerns/queries (if any) and communicate the same to the concerned department head and ensure the same is completed
  • Responsible for regular review and monitoring of the project progress with regards to budget and timelines and highlight any deviations/discrepancies to the Management

Standardization of Practices

  • Responsible for developing and deploying standard practices and procedures for project coordination department to improve efficiency and maintain uniformity
  • Plan and implement coordination structures in software like SAP in coordination with the internal IT team

Resource Allocation and Team Management

  • Delegate coordination activities to junior coordinators as per priorities and established -workflows
  • Responsible for building project management capabilities by collaborating with the various stakeholders and coach and mentor other and encourage them to use the appropriate project management techniques

Reports and MIS

  • Folder management on the sever to ensure all updated drawings are available for all service streams
  • Project Status reports to track actual site progress against plan
  • Prepare customized reports based on management or auditor requirement


Preferred candidate profile



  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from NICMAR.
  • 2-5 years proven experience in site execution and project management.
  • Strong knowledge of project management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
