Key Responsibilities :
SharePoint Administration & Maintenance :
- Site Architecture & Management : Manage and maintain SharePoint sites, ensuring seamless site architecture, creation, permissions, and external sharing configurations.
- Document Management : Oversee document libraries, file storage, retrieval, and version control to enhance data management practices.
- User Permissions & Security : Regularly configure and review user accounts, permission groups, and site access control to maintain security and compliance.
- Backup & Recovery : Implement and manage SharePoint data backup strategies, ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.
Solution Development & Integration :
- Custom Development : Develop custom SharePoint components, workflows, and applications that integrate with internal systems and third-party platforms to meet organizational needs.
- Power Platform Development : Use PowerApps and Power Automate to build forms, custom applications, and automate business processes within SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 tools.
- API & Integration : Integrate SharePoint with external systems, CRM tools, databases, and other third-party services through RESTful APIs and web services.
- Performance Optimization : Monitor, analyze, and optimize SharePoint performance, including storage management, search functionality, and page load times.
Governance, Compliance & Best Practices :
- Policy Implementation : Establish and enforce SharePoint governance policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
- Audit & Reporting : Conduct regular audits of SharePoint activities, reviewing logs for security issues and user activity to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
- Continuous Improvement : Actively seek out ways to improve SharePoint utilization across the organization, ensuring high levels of user engagement and satisfaction.
User Support & Training :
- End-User Support : Provide technical support for users, troubleshooting issues related to SharePoint access, functionality, and integrations.
- Training & Documentation : Develop training materials and conduct training sessions to enhance user knowledge and effective SharePoint usage.
- Collaboration : Work closely with business units to define and prioritize site enhancements, functionality improvements, and new business requirements.
Research, Innovation & Technology Integration :
- Emerging Technologies : Stay up-to-date on the latest SharePoint and Microsoft 365 developments, recommending and implementing innovations and solutions that align with business goals.
- Automation & AI Integration : Explore and implement automation and AI tools to streamline SharePoint operations and enhance user experience.
Technical Qualifications :
Core Technical Skills :
SharePoint :
- Proficiency in SharePoint Online and on-premises (versions 2013, 2016, 2019).
- Expertise in site collection management, permissions management, custom list creation, content types, and libraries.
- Experience with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, and custom workflows.
- Familiarity with SharePoint search configuration and customization.
Web Development :
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript for SharePoint customizations.
- Familiarity with jQuery and client-side rendering techniques in SharePoint.
Power Platform :
- Strong knowledge of PowerApps for developing custom business applications within SharePoint.
- Experience with Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow) to automate workflows across SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 tools.
Scripting & Automation :
- PowerShell : Proficient in using PowerShell scripts for SharePoint administration, automation, and user management.
- Familiar with CSOM (Client-Side Object Model), REST APIs, and SPFx (SharePoint Framework) for custom development.
Collaboration & Integration Tools :
- Expertise in integrating SharePoint with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Visio, Excel, and other Microsoft 365 tools.
- Ability to integrate SharePoint with external tools and services using REST APIs and SOAP services.
Database & Content Management :
- Knowledge of SQL Server and content management concepts in SharePoint (e.g , managed metadata, content types, document sets).
Version Control & Deployment :
- Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps for version control and deployment of custom SharePoint solutions.
Additional Technical Skills :
Cloud & DevOps :
- Experience working with Azure and cloud-based applications, including the deployment of SharePoint solutions.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for SharePoint deployment using Azure DevOps or AppVeyor.
Search and Taxonomy :
- Experience with configuring and customizing SharePoint Search, including custom search pages and search results.
- Familiarity with taxonomy management and metadata navigation within SharePoint.
Educational & Professional Requirements :
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience :
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SharePoint development and administration, with a proven track record of managing SharePoint environments.
Certifications (Preferred) :
- Microsoft Certified : SharePoint Associate or similar certifications in SharePoint, Office 365, or Power Platform.
Soft Skills :
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
