Round 3 - Case Study 

The case study was about a woman belonging to lower economic background, experiencing domestic violence. She cannot leave the spouse due to financial & emotional dependence. How will you address this?
The first step was to acknowledge the feeling of helplessness. Then psycho-educate about domestic violence and other forms of violence as well as re-assure that its not her fault that she is going through this. The try to discuss what are some of the safety measures she can access when in the situation of violence like identifying triggers, finding a safe space where she can move for sometime while being in the situation, identifying some of the neighbours/friends/relatives who can support, prepare a safety kit etc.
