Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - Disappointed with Unprofessionalism and Lack of Fair Opportunity at Suraasa

My experience with Suraasa's hiring process left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. Initially, the HR representative, Priyanka Uppal, displayed an unorganized approach by incessantly calling me for four days and then scheduling a phone call without proper preparation.

During the scheduled call, I immediately encountered an issue as I couldn't hear the senior HR head from their end. Despite notifying Priyanka within the first few seconds about this technical glitch, the interview continued. This lack of consideration and inability to rectify the issue on their part was startling.

Furthermore, the interview was not as per the planned agenda. Instead of connecting me with the sales manager as agreed upon, Priyanka conducted a generic HR-style interview, asking routine questions that didn't align with the intended process.

To add insult to injury, after this chaotic interaction, I received a message from another HR member stating my profile was rejected, despite being recommended by the Team Leader for the next round of interviews. This contradictory decision-making process is not only baffling but also showcases a lack of cohesion within their recruitment team.

In a country like India, where opportunities are cherished, this unprofessional behavior reflects poorly on Suraasa. A single phone call is insufficient to judge a candidate, especially when technical issues impede effective communication.

What's more disappointing is the absence of a fair chance to interface with the senior sales manager, denying me the opportunity to showcase my potential adequately.

I regret the time invested in this process and hope that Suraasa revisits its recruitment methodology to offer a more professional and equitable experience to future candidates.
