Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: In aptitude test, questions were based on Venn diagrams and Cubes. Verbal consisted of finding correct sentences out of given sentences and reading comprehension. We could choose our technical paper from the following choices: C/C++ programming with Data Structure and Operating System or C/C++ programming with networking concept and Java programming. I chose C programming. They stressed on basics of C, SQL and two questions on makefile like number of arguments in NMAKE.
Tips: In written test questions were easy and even if you don't get an answer, use elimination method.
Duration: 60 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Technical round was basic.
Tips: If you don't know something, try to tell something which is relevant to the question.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: There were three rounds and in each round, they were asking me same questions like tell them about myself and why I got less CGPA. In the last round they asked me the other questions like why they should hire me, what i liked in PPT, if I had a Sony product, how I will add value to Sony and if I had any problem in shifting to Bangalore.

General Tips: Be strong in basics of C,C++ and have a good understanding of your project, whatever you write in software skills know where they are used. Be cool, confident and have patience because you have to wait for a long time in between the interviews.

Round: Test

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The interviewer asked me my subjects and varied questions on all the subjects I ever studied. Interview Questionnaire

5 Questions

  • Q1. What would you have done if you were in Ghajini movie?
  • Q2. What are your hobbies?
  • Q3. What are Calloc and Malloc?
  • Q4. Tell us about yourself
  • Q5. What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The aptitude test was conducted by Merit Track. It was dead easy and questions were asked from R.S. Aggarwal. Students who are going for CAT or GRE will not face any difficulty. As per technical questions, all of them were asked from Balagurusamy.
Tips: Non-Circuit guys should go through it briefly and should know A,B,C's in it.
Duration: 140 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: It was not at all technical. Infact it was more of an HR interview itself. I, being a non-circuit guy, was asked only one and that too in the end about Calloc and Malloc. But the panel members were very friendly and cool. I did not feel as of sitting in an interview but more of an interaction. He asked questions like what I would have done if I were in Ghajini movie and about myself and my hobbies. It lasted for about 15 minutes.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Here, I was asked the same questions, they asked me about myself, my strengths and my weaknesses. But they interrupted a lot in between and then said to continue from where I left. It lasted for about 10 minutes.

General Tips: Just be cool and pleasant. Have a smile on your face so that it will be good to see you. Just be confident in whatever you are answering. Finally, I would conclude by saying ALL THE BEST.
