Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Duration: 120 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The interviewer asked me my subjects and varied questions on all the subjects I ever studied. Then they asked me basic technical questions like differences between C and C++, Linux and UNIX. They also asked me to explain my final year project. Since I am from biotechnology background, they didn't ask me that much technical questions. If I was getting confused in giving answers, they were helping me.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: The interviewer just asked about my family background, why they should recruit me and as I was from biotech why I want job in Sony. The interviewers were nice and the interview was light.

General Tips: Explain whatever they asked clearly and without any hesitations. It's the way you present the matters and all about your confidence level. Practice general aptitude papers. So prepare well :) :)

Round: HR Interview

In the last round they asked me the other questions like why they should hire me, what i liked in PPT, if I had a Sony product, how I will add value to Sony and if I had any problem in shifting to Bangalore.

5 Interview Rounds

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The aptitude test was conducted by Merit Track. It was dead easy and questions were asked from R.S. Aggarwal. Students who are going for CAT or GRE will not face any difficulty. As per technical questions, all of them were asked from Balagurusamy.
Tips: Non-Circuit guys should go through it briefly and should know A,B,C's in it.
Duration: 140 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: It was not at all technical. Infact it was more of an HR interview itself. I, being a non-circuit guy, was asked only one and that too in the end about Calloc and Malloc. But the panel members were very friendly and cool. I did not feel as of sitting in an interview but more of an interaction. He asked questions like what I would have done if I were in Ghajini movie and about myself and my hobbies. It lasted for about 15 minutes.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Here, I was asked the same questions, they asked me about myself, my strengths and my weaknesses. But they interrupted a lot in between and then said to continue from where I left. It lasted for about 10 minutes.

General Tips: Just be cool and pleasant. Have a smile on your face so that it will be good to see you. Just be confident in whatever you are answering. Finally, I would conclude by saying ALL THE BEST.
